The Bermuda Lorient – Pure Ocean Challenge, sailing from Bermuda to Lorient, is an Atlantic sailing challenge open to all types of sailboats. Its purpose is to be a race focused on the urgency of saving the ocean and the means to achieve it. It is organized by Pure Ocean, Absolute Dreamer, and Lorient Grand Large.

Advanced Tracking has installed a Smartone Solar tracker from Globalstar (a smart satellite GPS tracker powered by solar energy) on the Pure Ocean boat for real-time tracking. The mapping of the various boats' positions is available on the organizers' websites, allowing the public to follow the crossing.
For this challenge, Advanced Tracking is providing satellite communication, which will allow Jean-Pierre Dick's JP54 crew to send videos and news!

With the real-time updated Advanced Tracking interactive map, it is possible to follow the progress of Jean-Pierre Dick's JP54 crew, "Notre Méditerranée – Ville de Nice," live during their Atlantic crossing.
Pure Ocean also raises funds for ocean scientific research and ocean preservation awareness. A fundraising campaign has been set up online on Gandee to support the project: click here.
