Sense4Boat Battery Sensor

The Sense4Boat battery sensor continuously monitors the voltage of your on-board batteries. Every voltage variation is transmitted to the Sense4Boat control center and compared to the thresholds you have defined.

Connect the sensor to two independent battery banks using the 3-meter cables provided with protective fuses. Receive an alert as soon as a low, critical voltage, or a charging anomaly is detected.

1 year of Sense4Boat subscription included — Cloud monitoring, instant alerts, mobile app. Renewal at €63/year after the first year.
System & Operation

How the Sense4Boat system monitors your batteries

From the sensor connected to the terminals to the alert on your phone — continuous and intervention-free monitoring

Voltage measurements are analyzed in real time in the Sense4Boat cloud and alerts are transmitted instantly
Key Features

Everything you need to protect your batteries

A standalone sensor that monitors, alerts, and helps you extend the lifespan of your marine batteries

2-Bank Monitoring
Connect the sensor to two independent battery banks with the provided fused cables. Get voltage readings and configure independent alarms for each bank.
🔴
Low Voltage Alarm
Prevent sulfation and irreversible deep discharge. Get notified as soon as a low or critical voltage is detected — before your batteries are damaged.
🔋
5-Year Battery Life
Powered by its own replaceable batteries, the sensor does not consume the boat's electricity. No risk of discharging your onboard batteries by the sensor itself.
🔌
Charge Monitoring
Remotely monitor your batteries' charging process. Be informed when charging starts, when it ends, and if it proceeded correctly.
💾
Internal Buffer Memory
When sailing far from shore, out of NB-IoT network range, the sensor stores all measurements and transmits them as soon as connectivity is restored. No data lost.
🎛️
12V & 24V Compatible
Choose your system type in the app when adding the sensor. Initial alarm thresholds are automatically configured and can be finely adjusted.
Why it's crucial

Sulfation: the silent enemy of your batteries

Understand this phenomenon to better protect your investment

⚗️

What is sulfation?

Marine batteries are expensive and often last only a few seasons. The main cause of premature death is poor maintenance. The golden rule is simple: a battery must always be stored in a charged state.

When a battery is stored partially discharged, a chemical process of lead sulfate crystal deposition occurs on the plates. This phenomenon — sulfation — is responsible for the irreversible reduction of capacity. The longer the battery remains discharged, the more crystals deposit and gradually reduce the available capacity.

The Sense4Boat battery sensor alerts you as soon as the voltage drops, allowing you to act before sulfation sets in. Manufacturers announce a lifespan of 7 to 10 years — with proper monitoring, you can achieve it.

Alert System

Be alerted immediately, everywhere

As soon as a voltage anomaly is detected, you and your emergency contacts are notified simultaneously

📞
Voice Call
An automatic phone call alerts you first — even if your phone is on silent.
💬
SMS
An SMS with the measured voltage and exceeded threshold is sent to you and your emergency contacts.
🔔
Push Notification
An instant push notification on your smartphone via the Sense4Boat application.
✉️
Email
A detailed email with voltage history is sent to keep a record of each incident.
Configurable alert types: low voltage · critical voltage · charging in progress · charging completed · charging anomaly
Commissioning

Operational in less than 15 minutes

No complex wiring, no central unit — simply connect the cables to your battery terminals

1
Connect the cables
Connect the provided cables (with protective fuses) to the + and - terminals of each battery bank. No complex electrical wiring required.
2
Configure the app
Download the Sense4Boat app, add your sensor, select 12V or 24V, and customize your alarm thresholds for each bank.
3
Monitor remotely
View real-time voltage from anywhere. Receive instant alerts as soon as abnormal voltage or a charging anomaly is detected.
