Introducing Advanced Tracking and its creator.
The creation of Advanced Tracking could be described as logical and natural.
Indeed, when one knows the journey of its creator, Christophe ALLAN, the cause-and-effect relationship is evident.
So, let's meet Christophe through a few key dates:
-
After a childhood in Belgium and automotive studies, Christophe went to perform his military service in France in 1985. His passion for boats was already very present, as his holidays always revolved around camps by the sea with the Sea Scouts.
-
In 1988, he started as a car salesman in France, then in 1992, became a Sales Manager for a new car dealership in Belgium.
-
In 1995, Christophe set off to travel the world alone, with his backpack, for 2 years, including a full year in Australia. He discovered the United States, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, New Zealand… And his taste for adventure didn't stop there!
-
In 1997, after a 6-month stop in England to obtain his diploma at the maritime school, Christophe bought a catamaran to set off alone for a good year. He sailed along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts, finally ending up in Corsica where he started working as a professional skipper.
-
At the end of 1998, Christophe established his own delivery company, with a partner: Advanced Yachting in Hyères. He offered professionals the implementation of boat geolocalisation so they could track them during delivery, believing that one day, all boats would be equipped with it. The idea was appealing, and not just to professionals!
-
In 2004, after completing a number of boat deliveries, Christophe dedicated himself to geolocalisation by launching Advanced Tracking. He thus provided beacons to boat rental companies as well as individuals.
This is how Advanced Tracking naturally established itself as a reference in geolocalisation and satellite communication.
-
In 2008, the company developed its own platform "Konectis" and thus opened up to other applications. Geolocalisation is essential in boating, but not only! It also applies to travelers going to areas not covered by GSM or to isolated workers. Christophe thus surrounded himself with investors who believed in his project to develop the activity.
-
In 2012, Peggy Allan joined Christophe as a partner and the company continued its development with the integration of several beacon systems. Advanced Tracking surrounded itself with the best technologies (partnership with Inmarsat – Iridium and Globalstar) to offer increasingly efficient satellite communication solutions.
The company established partnerships, notably with GEOS Alliance, to provide assistance anywhere in the world, as soon as a beacon's distress button is activated.
-
In 2016, technologies evolved, as did the satellite network and communication systems. Thus, Advanced Tracking's offering expanded, as did its team with the arrival of a new partner, Gaëtan PANCERA.
-
Today, Advanced Tracking has 5 employees, including three software developers, to soon launch its own beacon. It will rely on Galileo technology.
As Christophe specifies: "Advanced Tracking developed gradually, always with a long-term objective. We establish partnerships to last, to always be at the forefront of technology, as with Kinéis recently, while maintaining a direct link with our customers. A commitment is a commitment and we are here to honor it and ensure the safety and satisfaction of our users."
