Whether you are a professional skipper, a recreational boater, or a boat owner who primarily uses your boat for fishing, your true barometer is not your compass, as in ancient times... but the weather!
What will the weather be like today? What will the sea be like? Can I safely take my boat out?
Discover the revolutionary new tool from Advanced Tracking to receive all weather forecasts in real time when you are at sea!
How does it work?
It's very simple: to access the service, you only need an email address and a device (a satellite phone, but also a tablet or a traditional mobile will do the trick, provided they are equipped with "PocketGrib" type software). The information will reach you in the form of a weather file generated by the most reliable computer source in this area: the NOOA MMAB Operational Wave Model. Do you have a monthly subscription with Advanced Tracking for satellite geolocation? Our weather service, in addition to being easily accessible, is free... it would be a shame to miss out.

What is a GRIB file?
Thanks to the Advanced Tracking system, weather forecasts are provided in the form of digital GRIB files, which benefit from an extremely high compression rate and can therefore be downloaded easily, even from a low-speed connection (with a satellite phone, the download time for a 2 to 8KB file is only 30 seconds). The files are generated from the boat's position, transmitted by the geolocation beacon with which it is equipped. Not only do we not lose sight of you for a single moment, but we are also able to send you, in real time, the weather information you need!
How do I register?
To register, simply go to our interface www.whatusea.com via your login and enter all the necessary information in the "Alerts/Notifications" menu so that we can send you a file type adapted to your requirements and your navigator profile. In addition to your email address and the frequency at which you wish to receive our weather forecasts, you will also need to indicate the nature of these forecasts (wind, wave height, atmospheric pressure...) as well as their time extent (12 hours, 72 hours...). It is also important, in order to offer you a tailor-made service, that we know your coverage requirements (whether the boat is moving or stationary) as well as the radius of the area.
