The features of the new Units geolocation

Tracking Units

We commonly know the Units geolocation to locate people, as part of a navigation around the world, allowing family and friends to follow you. Or for isolated workers to ensure their Tracking even in the most remote places. Or for tracking land or sea animals for research purposes for example. Other applications are possible, with the right equipment.

New generation of Units

Let us concentrate today on a new generation of Units : the Units GSM-LTE-M of BeWhere, company specialized in theIoT (Mobile Internet of Things).

These Units have the advantage of operating on the GSM 5G low power network, with a long battery life, in a very compact design. We can thus imagine many uses that apply not only to people but also to objects.

Three Units have been developed to meet different needs:

  • BeMini is the smallest (1/4 of the size of the usual trackers) and lightest of the Units allowing the tracking of very small assets indoors and outdoors. Thanks to its temperature and light sensors, it provides valuable information that can be enhanced with additional modules from Tracking . We can imagine embedded sensors of humidity, pressure or accelerometer. Rechargeable with mini-USB included.
  • BeTen is a long-life beacon that tracks assets from end to end. Depending on the update speed, temperature, power requirements and performance of the cellular technology, its battery will last between 5 and 6 years. It can also be integrated via an API (application programming interface) with third-party software to increase data and feature exchange capabilities. Highly resistant to extreme conditions, it will be the best ally to track, monitor and manage a wide variety of durable and perishable goods.
  • BeSol is based on the same technologies as its little sisters, with the difference that it is equipped with a solar-powered rechargeable battery. It has a great autonomy and robustness.

Cost, deployment and coverage

These Units geolocation systems also have the advantage of being very affordable and easy to deploy. They ensure a complete coverage in interior and isolated areas. Indeed, they use several GNSS (Global Navigation System Satellite) i.e. satellite positioning systems (GPS, Galileo, Beidou, Glonass and QZSS) for the Tracking of individuals or goods in a precise way.

You will find all the characteristics and prices of these equipments on the website ofAdvanced Tracking, the only distributor in France: https://www.advanced-tracking.com/collections/ Units -de-geolocalisation
