The Pure Ocean 2022 challenge on the Bermuda-Lorient route

The Bermuda Lorient - Pure Ocean Challenge on the Bermuda route in Lorient is a sailing challenge across the Atlantic open to all types of sailing boats. Its vocation is to be a race focused on the urgency to save the ocean and on the means to achieve it. It is organised by Pure Océan, Absolute Dreamer and Lorient Grand Large.

Advanced Tracking has installed a Globalstar Smartone Solar geolocation beacon (an intelligent GPS satellite tracker that runs on solar energy) on the Pure Ocean boat for real time tracking. The mapof the positions of the different boats is available on the websites of the organisers. This will allow the general public to follow the crossing.

For this challenge, Advanced Tracking offers satellite communication that will allow the crew of JP54 Jean-Pierre Dick 's crew to send videos and news!

With the interactive Advanced Tracking map, updated in real time, it is possible to follow the progress of Jean-Pierre Dick's JP54 "Notre Méditerranée - Ville de Nice", during its Atlantic crossing.

Pure Ocean
also raises funds for ocean scientific research and awareness of ocean preservation. A fundraising campaign has been created online on Gandee to support the project: click here.
