History of Advanced Tracking

Presentation of Advanced Tracking and its creator.

The creation of Advanced Tracking could be described as logical and natural.

Indeed, when we know the career path of its creator, Christophe ALLAN, the relationship of cause and effect is obvious.

So, let's go and meet Christophe on a few dates:

  • After a childhood in Belgium and studies in the automobile industry, Christophe left to do his military service in France in 1985. His passion for boating is already very present as his holidays are always punctuated by camps by the sea with the Scoots de mer.

  • In 1988, he started as a car salesman in France and in 1992 he became Sales Manager for a new car dealership in Belgium.

  • In 1995, Christophe went around the world, alone, with his backpack, for 2 years, including a full year in Australia. He discovered the United States, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, New Zealand... And his taste for adventure doesn't stop there!

  • In 1997, after a 6 month stopover in England to graduate from maritime school, Christophe buys a catamaran to go on his own for a good year. He sails along the Atlantic and Mediterranean coasts to end up in Corsica where he starts his career as a professional skipper.

  • At the end of 1998, Christophe set up his own conveyor company, with a partner: Advanced Yachting in Hyères. He proposes to professionals to set up the geolocation of boats so that they can follow them during the delivery trip, thinking that one day, all boats will be equipped with it. The idea appeals to more than just professionals!

  • In 2004, and after having carried out a number of boat conveyances, Christophe dedicated himself to geolocation by launching Advanced Tracking. He provides geolocation services Units to boat rental companies and also to private individuals.

This is how Advanced Tracking has naturally established itself as a reference in geolocation and satellite communication.

  • In 2008, the company developed its own "Konectis" platform and thus opened up to other applications. Geolocation is essential in the boating industry, but not only! It also applies to travellers going to areas not covered by GSM or to isolated workers. Christophe has surrounded himself with investors who believed in his project to develop the activity.

  • In 2012, Peggy Allan joins Christophe as a partner and the company continues its development with the integration of several Units. Advanced Tracking surrounds itself with the best technologies (partnership with Inmarsat - Iridium and Globalstar) to offer ever more efficient satellite communication solutions.
The company is setting up partnerships, in particular with GEOS Alliance, to provide assistance anywhere in the world as soon as the distress button on a beacon is pressed.

  • In 2016, technologies are evolving, as are the satellite network and communication systems. Thus, Advanced Tracking's offer is growing, as is its team, with the arrival of a new partner, Gaëtan PANCERA.

  • Today, Advanced Tracking has 5 employees including three IT developers to launch its own beacon soon. It will be based on Galileo technology.

As Christophe points out: "Advanced Tracking has developed gradually, always with a long-term goal in mind. We set up partnerships to last, to be always at the cutting edge of technology, as with Kinéis recently, while keeping a direct link with our customers. A commitment is a commitment and we are here to respect it and ensure the safety and satisfaction of our users. »
