SmartConnect: the most reliable hybrid satellite / GSM beacon!

Global coverage

Are you looking for a beacon that offers seamless global coverage for geolocation anywhere, including at sea, to ensure your safety or the protection of your boat? This is the vocation of the beacon SmartConnect !

An expanding satellite network

The technology, jointly developed by geolocation and satellite communications specialist Advanced Tracking and leading satellite operator and global connectivity provider Kineis, is based on an existing and growing network of satellites and nano-satellites (ARGOS).

Data available on Konectis

Being a GSM / Satellite hybrid, the SmartConnect beacon provides geolocation and alerts either via the GSM network or via the Kineis Satellite network as it automatically switches to the satellite network as soon as it loses the GSM network. Also, the mobile connection and NMEA 2000 data are integrated via the WIFI interface and all this data is accessible through the Konectis platform konectis.com, developed by Advanced Tracking.

LoRaWAN telecommunication protocol

This new beacon integrates LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide-Area Network) wireless sensors that allow low-speed communication of objects with low power consumption while connected to the internet. This LoRaWAN telecommunication protocol allows you to connect sensors or objects requiring long battery life (up to 2 years) in a small volume and at a low cost, ideal in a boat environment. These sensors can transmit in real time a lot of information such as water, intrusion, temperature, smoke, battery charge etc. One can imagine various applications and alerts accordingly.

SmartConnect GSM Satellite Hybrid Beacon

A controlled acquisition cost and fixed price.

Kinéis has developed a very small chip, easy to integrate and with very low energy consumption, which ensures a very competitive acquisition cost and monthly fee, including many data.

The documentation of the SmartConnect hybrid satellite / GSM beacon is available here.
